Earth’s Biggest Volcanoes Just Got Simultaneously Activated… (Video)

In this 15 August 2025 published video, geophysicist Stefan Burns reports about recent geologic events have caught the attention of millions around the world, from powerful and devastating earthquakes in Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Venezuela, and Colombia, a huge fireball over Cascadia, to powerful storms like Cat. 1 Hurricane currently battering the Big Island of Hawaii. A closer examination of these events reveals an interesting pattern which may hinting at a much larger process unfolding on this planet in regards to Earth’s bigger volcanoes.

While multiple widely separated volcanoes—such as Kīlauea in Hawaii, Mount Etna in Italy, and various peaks along the Pacific Ring of Fire—frequently erupt or show unrest at the same time, this reflects independent, ongoing processes rather than a single interconnected global trigger. 

Volcanoes across different tectonic plates or distinct regional magma plumbing systems do not directly trigger one another. Dozens of volcanoes are actively erupting or venting gas around the world on any given day as part of normal Earth dynamics. The Pacific basin contains roughly 75 percent of the world’s active volcanoes, making simultaneous minor unrest statistically common rather than apocalyptic. 

Routine cycles—such as Kīlauea’s episodic eruptive phases—frequently line up chronologically with unrelated seismic events or astronomical occurrences like lunar phases, leading to unscientific claims of a collective awakening. Scientific Monitoring: Organizations like the US Geological Survey track these regional changes closely and report no evidence of cascading global volcanic synchronization. 

Online videos often aggregate unrelated local events, minor seismic swarms, and routine episodic lava flows into a single dramatic narrative.
