Amazon on Tuesday said three data centers in the Middle East were recovering from drone strikes that left some of their customers without service.

“In the UAE [United Arab Emirates], two of our facilities were directly struck, while in Bahrain, a drone strike in close proximity to one of our facilities caused physical impacts to our infrastructure,” the company wrote in a Tuesday post.

“These strikes have caused structural damage, disrupted power delivery to our infrastructure, and in some cases required fire suppression activities that resulted in additional water damage. We are working closely with local authorities and prioritizing the safety of our personnel throughout our recovery efforts,” it added.

After the strikes, Amazon said two of the three data hubs remain “significantly impacted” causing customers to see high failure rates for data ingest and egress.

Power outages have stalled recovery efforts.

However, the Amazon Web Services Management Console is operational, though customers may experience errors on certain pages as underlying services work through their recovery, per the company.

Regional instability has struck companies, diplomats and tourists alike as the U.S. and Israel strike Iran and Iran retaliates in the region.

Travel options have been largely restricted as commercial airspace remains limited due to safety concerns.

Leaders have urged civilians to stay inside and away from windows in the midst of overarching attacks. The State Department has urged Americans in the Middle East to return home.
