Cathay Pacific to launch flights to Washington DC with the Airbus A350-900 - Dec 2017
According to the South China Morning Post, Cathay Pacific is set to launch direct flights to Washington DC, with the official announcement expected next week. The flights will be served by Airbus A350-900s, so you can expect up to date equipment on board and paid Wifi, but not First Class seats.
This will be the longest Cathay flight ever at 13122km, beating out their current direct flights to New York. As if being stuck on a plane for 16 hours isn't bad enough, let's make it 17 hours! However, this flight is still some distance away from the longest flight in the world, currently the Qatar Airways flights from Doha to Auckland.
