A Stay At Jane Austen's House In Bath
We stayed in ‘Emma’s Garden Apartment’ which is the ground floor of Jane Austen’s former home at 4 Sydney Place in Bath, England. Jane Austen lived there with her parents for 3 years from 1801.
The hallway hasn’t changed since she lived there and the front room of the apartment was the original parlour which can be seen in the painting in the video.
The house was newly built when they moved in and looked out over Sydney Gardens towards the countryside.
It is just a 10-minute walk down the grand Great Pulteney Street to the centre of Bath, this area was very fashionable during Jane Austen’s era and is still an impressive Georgian street.
The apartment is now rented out by Bath Boutique Stays.
